Poco A Poco

Another example of dead birds is the print “Poco a Poco.” It features 6 birds lying in awkward positions of death. They were all drawn exclusively in tusche a drawing material when applied to a stone it dries with a beautiful lacy texture. I wanted to use tusche to gain some skill in its use.

The title meaning “little by little” has reference to a  mismanaged natural resource. 6 birds is not huge but little by little they are gone and cannot be replaced.
