I was working in China at the Guanlan print center. I was feeling some symptoms of Parkinson’s with regards to balance so decided to talk about balance in a print. I was thinking of possible images for balance. I was intrigued with the balancing act where plates are balanced on sticks and spun. You kept adding plates until the first plates you started spinning were slowing down and you had to infuse the plates with more energy. That was a great image but how could i make it apply to me. I decided the best way was to get the plates spinning and then put people standing on the spinning plates. The figures were posed in all sorts of balance and out of balance poses. The result was…
